Destroy Digital is brought to you by Chris and Mark, dyed-in-the-wool digital natives who’ve been in the digital game for decades and have finally decided to put their years of experience to good use.
It’s also really about two long-time mates talking for 28 minutes into a microphone. Dropping digital truth bombs. Dispensing useful, creative online marketing advice to businesses and organisations. Think of it as an Agony Aunt column for businesses struggling to come to terms with the heartbreak that is digital marketing.
Remembering how to play is the key to winning in the digital marketplace.
When Mark (on the left) and Chris (the other good looking rooster) created Destroy Digital, they had one guiding principle. How much fun could they have with it?
Every childhood educator will attest that it is through play that we first learn about our environment. Children create, learn and interact through play; and we were all children once.
It is no surprise that innovation is also the result of play and yet every day mainstream thinking seeks to remove play from our workspaces and our interactions.
It is this spirit of innovation that Mark and Chris have deliberately fostered at Destroy Digital and this spirit is infectious. Having already picked up a series of clients via the podcast, the Destroy Digital approach is now helping businesses and organisations create their own methodology for innovation.

Chris has not only done stints as Head of Development at various companies, he’s set up and runs the very podcast studio we (and other podcasts) record in.
His own company, Oink Digital collaborates with brands, agencies and personalities to create websites, podcasts and video content that has reached over half a million people and counting.
Mark Chen
Digital Marketer and Brand Coach
Mark has been the Creative Head of a digital animation firm and Creative Director of his own branding consultancy. He’s also had stints as the Marketing Director of a category-leading Australian FMCG brand and a Senior Consultant in a highly regarded Australian marketing agency.
As an independent consultant, his forté is in business know-how that translates into useful marketing strategy.
About the Splat
The Splat is a visual allegory for the integrated nature of this multi-faceted beast, we call digital marketing. It can be messy as heck but if done right, the end result can be quite beautiful.
Our multi-coloured, multi-shaped logomark reminds that there is no such thing as a silver bullet with modern marketing. The key is in the smart, consistent use of multiple channels, tactics and vectors.
